I wish the battery lasted a solid two days at least. If I don’t workout, then it does, but if I use any kind of tracking it has to go on the charger that night or it’ll die in the middle of the following day. I have the 5 and previously had the 2.

Yeah, don’t get the value of the sleep tracking feature when you need to put it on a charger at night…

Feature I use most is the pinging my misplaced iPhone. Feature I like most is the auto-triggered fitness tracking.
From a physical standpoint I like that it is so much more durable it is than any other watch I’ve owned. 2 years of daily wear and not a single visible scratch whereas others i’d have broken the glass or band by now.

I think I have the 4. Waited until I could get one that had it’s on cell connection and therefore wasn’t dependent on WiFi or pairing with my cell phone for internet connection. My idea was that I would use it to workout and listen to music via the watch and AirPods.
Overall I like it, but I hardly ever have it without my cell phone in my pocket. And I don’t really use it for anything other than telling me the time (which is on my cell phone) and tracking my mobility and sleep (also on my cell phone). So, I almost never use the cell connection and although I have answered a call on it occasionally (Star Trek style), it’s not great for that and my cell phone is normally just in another room and I’m being lazy.
My assessment is it might be worth it if you work out a lot and/or want to use the health tracking capability and/or would have spent over $500 on a fancy watch. But if you always have your cellphone with you, and you don’t already have a watch, it’s mostly just arm decor.
I bought the 6 (no cellular capability) as my first Apple Watch. I mainly use it to track my workouts and listen to music on runs without carrying my phone (along with the reasons listed above). My biggest issue is getting music onto the watch requires the music to be on your iPhone (on iMusic) before syncing it to the watch. You can only play spotify playlists while being paired to phone, which was probably by design. I like tracking some health metrics (heart rate, steps, etc) but the latest features won’t replace a proper exam quite yet. I can get a full charge in a hour, and charge it while I’m resting or while showering.
Overall, worth it for me, but if you want to save a bit by going with the SE or an older model you aren’t missing much.
I do appreciate how the watch quick charges in 15 minutes (won’t be 100% but guaranteed enough battery to last you the rest of the day). I just charge it while I shower. (Series 7)
I have the Watch SE and really enjoy activity tracking, pinging and general smart features. Great price point.
I’ve had the same one for a few years (series 1, non cellular) and it still works, I only l started using daily as of this year and part of the 2nd half of last year (used it on and off prior to that). I like it, super easy to use, super easy to answer calls and texts, and great for logging workouts and even looking at my average heart rate, but I do have to charge it everyday. Honestly it’s performance is great considering it’s one of the oldest series of it.
I prob would make the investment to get a newer one, I’m also planning to wait til mid September to see if they do release a newer one. (But seeing the deal on the current one is making me lean towards just getting it now.)
I use mine solely when I exercise but even then I forget sometimes. I hate that it now has a unlock code (thanks EY).
It’s great. Exercise tracking, music, telling time, Apple Pay, easy access to apps that make watch widgets. You can get all that with other devices too, but it’s nice to have all in one place that works with the Apple ecosystem.

Series 6 and love everything about it
Series 3- husband bought it for me for Valentine’s Day several years ago and I’m obsessed.
Never would have splurged on it for myself..go figure.
Love tracking my workouts and walks. Love that it reminds me to stand up or “rewards” me for exercising harder than the day or week before.
Love being able to answer a call if I don’t want to dig through my bag or apt to find my phone.
Use the timer a bunch for laundry and other things.
Agree that battery life is a bit weird, but you just need to charge it every night and it’s fine.
HR monitor is helpful and if you ever see a cardiologist/dr (hopefully don’t need to!), you can share information in graph format over time - things you’d never think about having at your disposal!
