https://www.businessinsider.com/cost-culture-clash-50bn-deal-france-lost-to-us-uk-2021-9 Seems like crazy long vacations in Europe didn’t work well for their clients.
I am two months short of completing 2 years of service at the current firm. I got a good offer and looking to move. This means I will have to pay back about $6k in joining bonus. Is there anyway I can negotiate this? I have so much overtime work hours that can currently be tracked to about 500+ hours for this year alone. What are somethings I should be aware of when paying back the joining bonus?
CRT is over and I was wondering if PwC will layoff people this year in Cyber as certain markets are not performing well.
Have a call scheduled with a big 4 recruiter for a role in the finance transformation group. Any suggestions on how I could go about preparing for this call? Also if anyone out there is currently in one of the finance transformation groups and is willing to have a quick call please let me know!
The only thing I’m looking forward to at EWR:
Anyone know the implications of having a side tax business while at a big 4? I have done returns in the past but setup an entity for liability protection. If I report it will there be an issue?
My wife has a job opportunity in San Diego. We are thinking about moving from dc. Anyone have thoughts on sd? We have visited a few times, but mostly for touristy things.
Tip for you if you shipped things to hotels from Amazon. Clear those addresses out of your account. I somehow sent a bunch of things to a hotel in Chicago. Sigh.
Maybe this is unfashionable... but I'm feeling ok around Trump and his Economic Immigration ideas. For real Consulting anyway - it just means closer scrutiny (which we shouldn't be afraid of) (cont)
Hi folks, I was on H1B visa and moved out of US 2 years back. I should have 3 years left on my H1B visa. I am planning to go back to the US now. Do I need to apply for H1B lottery? Or can I reuse my previous H1B. FYI - I work for a different employer now.
Is this a red flag? I have been at 2 companies and have 3 YOE. 2 years at the first company and 1 at the second. Company I’m interviewing with right now is dragging me through the coals about it like I’m some kind of serial job hopper. Ive never experienced this at any other interview I’ve had. Is this seriously that big of a deal?
Got laid off. Now what?
Thinking of moving family to the Big Apple. What's a good base salary for an ACD level in NY? I'm sure rent/house payment and schools will kill most of the funds, but need an idea for reference.🖖
I’m in trading operations. I graduated during COVID and it has been my ultimate goal to become a trader. I know it’s insanely difficult to pivot from back office to trading but I would welcome any advice on making that transition.
What’s it like at McCann NY? The culture, the work, the work/life balance (if there is one)?
Lyft vs uber for rewards? Company politics removed, which has a better rewards system? Flying United not delta FYI and have enjoyed the $5 uber cash every 500 points
EY is by no means perfect but the way they are handling the virus situation so far is admirable. The situation will continue to evolve and change things but hats off to the best Big 4 👏🏽
People who have the Amex platinum - how did you use the airfare credit? Preferred airline is UA and I don’t want to lose the credit at the end of December. No other trips planned until next year.
