How long after you applied as a referred applicant did you hear from HR? Did they call or email you?

Was given a copy of my first evaluation from administration (this is my fourth year working for the school district). Admin didn't know that I went to central office the spring semester of my second year to get a copy of that eval.
When looking at both evals, I found that Admin changed some things after I got my copy which lowered my overall score. Went to my union rep about it, and now I have a conference with my principal. Did I do the right thing, or should I have just let it be?

Wondering what everything things about a creative that’s being asked to write. At least a little bit. I used to love to write back in college but it’s a skill and perspective I’ve lost over the last 15 years. Is it just a matter of doing it, reading others work and practicing until I’m comfortable? Would love to get to a point where I can hand over concept to a pro who can make it even better.

I love my job and the people I work with, but there’s one thing that really bothers me: the lack of diversity. Sometimes when I walk into the office and see everyone else around me as the only POC, it feels kind of weird. I don’t think anyone here has ever said anything racist or sexist to me personally, but I don’t feel comfortable talking about these issues with anyone because they might take it personally and then things could get awkward between us.

Why is it that people become extra preachy and intrusive in Ramadan? One may not fast for health or personal reasons, why do a lot of people consider it their God given duty to inquire and criticize? How hard is it to mind ones own business and focus on their respective imaan? 😑

This is not exactly a confession but I don’t know where to park it and I need to say it out loud. Today is going to be the first day of a whole new life - I’m going to take care of my self mentally and physically, I’m going to let go of relationships that don’t work for it as much as I do. I’m going to focus on the things that really matter - myself, family, and the handful of friends that really show up. Above all, I’m going to believe in myself and not let anyone else crush my soul.
