What do you think about hiring influencers as sales reps or affliate sales programs? Have you seen good results from either? We're thinking about hiring some microinfluencers on the sales team since they actually use the product. Just wondering if others have seen success with this strategy.
We make good money through affiliate sales, but it took us a while to find reliable "influencers." Some of them are real pieces of work.
We've thought about using influencers, but never really got beyond the brainstorming stage of it. Having to recruit them and then manage what they do seems like it would take more time and effort than they could be worth.
What do you have in mind?
It can be done, but you're not hiring them, they are and should remain commission-only contractors. They should be referring prospects and not actively selling to them. You absolutely should not trust them with your brand reputation or to represent your company or product completely and accurately.
