Depends on preference, if the team is good and hours are good then big stable team is good but if you want to touch new stuff then roll onto smaller engagements
It certainly makes life easier as you familiarize yourself with said engagement and can master it. However, the folks that I know that have stuck on the same large engagement for years have been very technically lagged. They only know one job and one job's approaches. They are not challenged to research and challenge methodologies and approaches - just the status quo. The best people I know have been challenged by multiple jobs and forced to be agile and know their stuff.

Switch it up. Once you get used to an engagement you have less to learn
I personally get very bored with the same engagement after 3 years (unless it’s a fast growing company that does big transactions every year). Having worked with people that have been on the same engagement as their main/only engagement for many years, I will say some of them don’t appear as adaptable as others that have a more diverse portfolio.
I like to change it up as much as possible because I'm here to see variety, not get good at repeating what I did last year.

Think it depends on the person. There’s folks that just want to show up to the job and go home, so they tend to stick with the same jobs year after year. Then, there are folks that want to have new challenges and see new things every so often, so they tend to want to do different engagements.
