I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? I recently just finished my interview with Accenture and is looking very promising. We have yet discuss salary, I would like to know other people's salary who work in the Industry X so that I'm not getting low-balled. I currently work at HDR inc. making 69K (Salary).

The position is "Analyst - Industry X Development Program" in Detroit, Michigan.

How much would you expect a AD of forecasting at big pharma to make? Glassdoor says 161 average but that feels low to me.

When you say your salary jumped __x, how is that exactly calculated?

Mine was $16k (minimum wage before joining corporate) > $40k (contractor total before getting laid off) > $150k (current FT)?

Is that a 260% jump or 2.6x from $16k to $40k?
And a 375% jump or 3.75x from $40k to $150k?

Or do I calculate it by hourly rate?
