Plenty of EVs that aren’t TSLA. You can get a bolt for $20k
Gm will buy it back or swap it out for MSRP into another vehicle. If all goes correct, I will get paid $10k to switch to a brand new truck
Im waiting for Tesla to have more government contracts and create Tesla tanks lol.
I’m happy with my Kia EV…
Love my Chevy Bolt.
Electricity cost is 14.5 cents per kilo watt hour.. and I get average 4 miles per kilo watt hour of battery.. so for the $4.50 per gallon folks are spending on gas right now, my Bolt gives me 124 miles for that same $4.50.
Yeup. In Seattle just yesterday. Not great.
Im going the used route due to this
I don't think a $50-$60k vehicle is a better alternative to paying a few extra dollars at the pump. Hopefully gas prices will start declining soon.
If you have an older car the app won’t have the charging stats. My app has a 2018 model 3 and 2014 model S. The 3 has “charging stats” the S does not. Just FYI.
Teslas are luxury vehicles to me regardless of gas prices. There are definitely cheaper options as far as cars go even with gas prices going up
I wish I could afford one! I can't believe how high gas is. I'm about to start riding a bike.
Depends on your situation and what you’re looking for. Consider your charging situation (do you have the infrastructure ready or need electrical work done; get a quote if you do) and consider your driving habits to see if it’s the right decision for you.
The price hike was predictable given demand exceeding prod capacity, rising cost of supplies and overall inflation.
I'm just hoping gas prices roll back again. I can't afford a Tesla.
Again: Kia. Hyundai. Chevy. Even BMW.
Yes
I don't think the infrastructure is there yet for EV's, at least in Arizona. Until there are more superchargers, or unless you're only driving locally, it's not a great experience.
I don’t get the “crazy gas prices” argument. The average person drives 10k miles a year. Assuming 30 mpg, that’s 333 gallons a year. At $4/gal that’s $1,300. At $6/gal that’s $2,000. That’s a difference of $700/yr, which is a very small amount compared to the cost of groceries or housing or vacations or almost anything else you can compare it to. Why does everyone get so upset about it?
