What do you think of the small two-toned tank francaise as a first watch for women? I'm 24 so don't want anything too flashy for work. Any other suggestions?

Honestly go for it! It’s a good conversation piece, it’s not super flashy or anything and will fit well with a lot. Full send.

Love it!

I usually don't love two-toned watches, but I love it on the Francaise. Maybe because the Francaise feels more jewelry like than other watches. I'm considering it, myself. And hey, between the gold and steel, it will go with whichever jewelry you mix it with.

I’m 24 and was also considering this watch for my first piece, great to see the affirmation on here!

Another option is Hermès. They make some great watches—I’d look for something in the Nantucket or Cape Cod line, ideally with the double-wrap leather strap.

I have both - find that the tank is much easier to slip on and more versatile to wear with long sleeves etc. My Hermes is the double tour cape cod in taupe - love it too, but reach for it with a smaller subset of outfits. :)

Gold on this piece is understated but still classy. Solid choice.

I have been considering the Tank series for my wife, this is a great watch and was also considering The Must Tank series as well..

Classic! Go for it!

Looks dope OP. Think small two tone watches look great on women. My mums worn a two tone constellation for the last like 20 years though so maybe I’m biased lol

I have it and I love it - my go to for easy daily wear!

Hey y’all. Would love to get some thoughts from people about buying vintage watches and what resources you might use to evaluate a piece before you buy.

I’ve only ever bought new watches but am in love with some vintage pieces. I’m not really sure where to start with resources to do my due diligence and ensure I’m not massively over paying or buying something that no watch maker today could really service.

Would love some thoughts from the bowl on any vintage buys y’all have done.

Thanks!
