What do you think teaching will be like after COVID? Do you think we'll change anything permanently?

If all the liberal teachers have it their way we will be online forever because Covid will never go away. That’s what they are saying in our building!! It is ridiculous

I personally will be changing some things. I did not clean my manipulatives enough in the past. It has also made me better at keeping my room organizated.

I'm hoping we start masking during cold and flu season. I also think sanitizing work spaces after each class is a good idea.

If anyone thinks Coronavirus situation isn't at least in part politically motivated is lying to themselves. How can you tell? Look what conservative states are doing vs liberal.

Lol to the person who posted the picture comparing hairdressers resuming work to people illegally crossing the border. Comparing COVID to the Flu is ludicrous and apples to oranges but comparing breaking a law to violating a mandate (although in their example Texas is open) isn’t apples and oranges when it fits their narrative apparently 🤨

I just had a doc appointment and as I was walking up, I noticed 4 staff members with their masks completely pulled down below their chins until they saw me approaching. They then pulled their masks up but it made me uncomfortable. If masks are required in doctors offices, shouldn’t they remain on all the time even if patients aren’t in the immediate vicinity? Especially since covid can last in the air for hours. I’m vaccinated but higher risk

In Georgia. Going out to eat tomorrow. Worth risking Covid so I don’t have to clean the dishes after dinner.

Worst case, but still possible: Covid continues to spread for years despite any vaccine (the rest of our lives). Unemployment skyrockets and the US becomes a developing country with squalid conditions for the low-income. We lose social order and all need to hire private security guards to protect our homes from theft and violence. This also means no more vacations or fun events because the risk of something bad happening is too high. What are your thoughts on this?

Just read an article about how the first doses of the vaccine will be doled out. Am I the only one who is really heartened by the global response to COVID-19? Sure, the US and other countries led by conservative despots bungled it, but, on the whole humanity came together, wore masks, hunkered down, made a vaccine in record time. These actions were largely motivated by fear but also compassion for vulnerable people. I mean, we did it y’all!

Nanny during covid time took cash payments. How do we claim it on FSA. This is my first year on fsa and I learned i have to have paper trail to prove the payments. Nanny can sign on receipt but won't share ssn. What are my options. Would I be able to claim. I had to let her go when I learned paper requirement.
