Additional Posts in The Work-Life Bowl
Hi folks, It's been 22 days since I joined birlasoft. But still I have not been mapped to any project and in induction I have been told this hiring is done based on an already existing requirement. Is it common to not get mapped after these many days of joining? Please share your experience!!! Birlasoft
Will I receive variable pay for the period I am bench?

SIP with two working partners and demanding jobs has been untenable for a while, but I need some perspective. Video calls before 7AM and until 8PM is insane, right?
Video calls: 0
Calls: 0-1 hour per day
Real work: 3-4 hours per day. With Q coming prolly will spike up but life is good now

^ this was what my old job looked like and I left because I was bored. I kind of want some of it back like maybe just a little.

Less calls, but Slack messages start around 6 am some days. I probably have between 2-5 calls daily. Usually work from 8-6 or 7 on a better day but recently have been doing a lot of 8 am - 10 pm and I'm so tired. I just want to have time to work out and make my own food. Like really minimal ask.

My video calls start at 6:30am and go straight through the day. If I’m lucky I can schedule in a quick 30 minute break mid-day/early afternoon
Generally have 10 hour days right now
Holy shit 6:30? That’s when I go to sleep

I'll spend 6-8 hours without leaving my chair.

I'm on video calls for 3-7 hours a day, except for Mondays when I usually have 1 hour or none.

9am-7pm (pre busy season tax). Video calls 25-35% of that time.

Probably 4-5 hours of calls a day, but when I’m not in a call I’m on an “informal” call with team members to review work/coach/etc.
Generally working from 8am-7pm. 3-4 hours on weekends and lately adding another 1-2 hours in the evening on top of that 8-7.
10-11 hours a day, 7-8 of them on calls.
I’m working across two teams at the moment so I start the day around 7:30am & finish up around 8:30pm most nights. 9:00am until around 1:00pm is basically all back to back video calls.
