I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. Is rolled off from project common in CG ?
I was hired 4 months back for specific project , was working from very 1 week of hire, now i am going to move to bench. Though i am happy but i also very worried as how much time it take to find next project, if i will get project as per tech i want to work.

I canāt speak to Public Accounting, but in the government it can be quite a bit. pulling FINCIN, looking at bank statements and tracing payments, providing advice to United States Attorneys and Criminal Investigators. Lot of excel work and ātranslatingā accounting matters to those who may not be versed in them
Honestly think it's all the same at its core. The fruits of your labor are just used for different things. Like criminal investigations vs getting a signed opinion.

How does one apply for such a position ?
Itās completely different from regular auditing in the government in the sense that thereās no accounting standards to follow. You use whatever investigative methods you can to build whatever narrative forms from what you collect.
As far as applying: usajobs.gov. Generally the FBI, IRS, and IG offices are good places to go. The pay is lower than public for sure but with the pension and healthcare it becomes pretty competitive. Research the ins and outs of a Federal Resume, because thatās what will get you past an initial screen
