Best exit ops for B4 FDD M/SM’s?
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Some are on one client all year long for the first 4 years into the job. Some help out on 12+ clients in their first year. We are all working steady 65 hr weeks though regardless.
As a staff I bounced around a lot at B4. As I moved up it settled out to just 2 recurring clients with down time filled in with misc. clients. All depends
How many clients do you estimate you had in your first year or 2?
As a first year I was on 5 clients throughout the year. A couple were private and just time fillers, the others were public so helped for a few weeks on quarters/year end. As a second year staff I was on 4. And then first year senior on 3.
Of those 5 clients, I bounced around a lot though. So every 4-6 weeks I was going back to a different one and trying to pick up where things were left or filling someone else’s shoes, so it seems like a lot at the time. But honestly because of that experience, I’m the go to person in the office for when someone comes up and they need someone to jump in. Being able to roll with things and pick up fast is a skill not many have. Use it to your advantage!
As someone who was at Big 4 and then came to Crowe, it was very different. At big 4, I had one client, where I was on site, 5 (6 or 7 in busy season) days a week, all year. Then I came to Crowe and 2 years later I have 13 jobs I in-charge. My Crowe jobs are way smaller - but to your point, in busy season, I’m often juggling multiple engagements at the same time, up to 7 at a time even. But I don’t mind, I like having multiple clients and different jobs to bounce around on! Keeps it interesting!
Depends on how big your clients are. I'm staffed on only one engagement but it's one of our firms biggest clients so i probably wouldn't be staffed on other engagements
Do you know anyone else who is on a new engagement every couple weeks?
