I’ll start:
• 4-8 hour work days MAX, no weekend or holiday work because I want to have a life where I have enough time to be inspired and learn new things, have experiences
• healthy timelines; not 10 assets that had to be done yesterday and you feel like you’re always behind and you don’t have time to create an interesting layered concept because you have to start building a deck to make the presentation on time
• well staffed; too many of us are having to work for 3 people for one salary
• good salaries where you don’t have to worry about $ and crippling debt
• account people who stand up for creatives
Seems like basic things (except the work hours but see Sweden), if that would be the case the ads would be much better than from overworked, underpaid, overstressed, depressed creatives
An ADs gotta do what an ADs gotta do haha
plus I’m a Virgo, which might explain the bullet point situation as well
Immediate cash bonuses awarded to everyone who works on a winning business pitch.
Oh that would be so good! I would definitely work harder knowing I get more $ for my win
Fewer white men in leadership roles
Account management seniors that’s say NO to clients - project based work - none of that timesheet tracking bs - realistic timelines that don’t drain mid-level creatives, production and account folks for no reason other than needing “billable hours” ... can go on and on but won’t :)
No all night/last minute sprints to push work out that the client doesn’t end up making anyway. More realistic project timelines and less night and weekend work in general. More cohesion between client and agency. Less focus on awards being the only indicator that someone has talent. More focus on cultivating talent from within and giving people opportunities. I do love the way that agencies make an effort to cultivate our creativity by hosting performances, speakers etc. And I do think there is a lot of really awesome creative work out there.
unlimited cereal whenever you want it, yoga at lunch time 2+ days a week, dogs, really quirky office decor, and a kick ass holiday party featuring a 90s celebrity with at least a 15k tab.
Employee owned.
Diverse leadership.
No client services, just creative, strategy, project management, and production. Its up to everyone to understand the clients' business and guide their decisions.
Agency will fund award show submissions upon request but doesn't require or expect it.
Reasonable yearly education/conference/cultural stipend.
Performance is evaluated once yearly for all employees, consisting solely of a portfolio review regardless of department.
Diverse ownership

automated grunt work (using AI to create banners/facebook post lines/etc.) so i can focus on big ticket, high-attention items.
Pro
Mad men
- diverse and emotionally intelligent leadership
- expected shortened workday (did you know: the 8 hour workday was developed by Ford in the 1920s because it was the timeframe that allowed them to maximize production? I digress...).
- adequate budget for training opportunities
- immediate call out (and removal) of mediocre white men instead of constant promotions
- diverse representation at all levels and departments
- an allotment of mental health days that are required to be taken each quarter
