I. Can’t. Take. This. Any. More.
hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.

Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY
Roth 401k or regular 401k?

Will let others speak their piece, but a few thoughts:
It’s Kearney ;), not ATK anymore as of 2020.
Like McKinsey insofar as we’re a management consulting firm serving the full stack of service lines and industry around the world (albeit at a smaller scale), working primarily with F500 clients. Culturally, we’re diametrically different and make that a core part of our go to market proposition.
I’d say key competencies, historically are strategic ops and transformation, but again, we do most things for most people in most regions (US leans more ops heavy but plenty of top line work too). Again, focus varies by region in terms of industry but reasonable coverage of most things most places. Not as narrow a focus as any other midsize firms. People are going to say sourcing but it’s a smaller piece of the pie these days to my knowledge - five years at the firm here and never did a sourcing project.
Secret sauce is absolutely down to earth, humble, collaborative culture - very Midwestern to situate in a US cultural context. This is a big part of what keeps clients coming back to us - very much a pragmatic, client-first focus on impact.
K5 - That's what matters. If you like your coworkers and your leaders, you've found your home
Kearney consultants are absolutely top tier. Unfortunately the firm hasn’t been able to keep them as much as they’d like to. Kearney alum are some of the best performers at MBB, Alix/A&M and even in leadership roles at B4 / Accenture.
Financial Services
That's Oliver, ATK is waay behind in finance
Rising Star
We don't do financial services, where did that come from. The core is strategic operations but we have various service practices and industry verticals. When mckinsey died, bowers was the partner who kept the name and thought consultants should just be giving strategic advice. Kearney thought we should get more involved in the business and give more concrete recommendations on improving their business and he formed his own firm
There is a financial services practice - FYI - it’s just not a core focus to my knowledge.
Kearney.
Highly dependent on geography, but some main sectors are Communication, Media & Tech. (CMT), Automotive, Transportation & Industrials (ATI) and Consumer retail.
We have a history of doing supply chain & operations, which I think is particularly pronounced in US, but also focus on M&A, Strategy & Top-line transformation (STLT) & Digital Transformation.
Kearney CIRP use to better or equal to MBBs about 6 years ago in the Americas. Then literally partner left. Same thing happened in Automotive in the 2000s.
Sourcing
In the US, they do primarily Ops/SC and everything connected to those functions; they are top-tier players in selling that kind of work. Outside the US, they do everything and are generally well-known. A lot has changed the last few years in terms of rankings and Kearney isn't the management consulting behemoth it used to be, but it's still a solid T2 consulting firm with great exits.
Operations, logistics, sourcing in the US are our big hitters and we are known for this. Like others have said we have a full range of services, but this our strength in the US.
Other regions do vary with their strengths.
Which geography? Answer changes.
Kearney specializes and are leaders in Supply Chain / Procurement / Sourcing.
In North America they’re known for strength in Ops and procurement work, especially in the industrial/manufacturing and consumer/retail spaces. As others have said they have the full range of practices and industries but not the same scale or reputation outside of the areas I mentioned.
Sourcing ... Procurement... spend plans ... better buying ... it is ALL sourcing
Pro
A1, this really isn’t true. I’ve never done a sourcing project in 5 plus years and my experience isn’t all that atypical.
Procurement.
How about healthcare? If so, which sub-sectors?
Yes. Can’t give too much visibility from personal exp but it’s a large and growing practice with an exceptional bunch of people
