Huh? Where are you getting your info? Partner path is the same within all of consulting. M to SM takes about 4 years and yes internal work development is important but that is important at any level at Deloitte. Performing at the SM level is what gets you promoted

Specialist model does not have an “up or out” framework or timeline around promotions. If one is happy being a Manager / Specialist Master, you can remain at that level. Promotion milestones are set individually.

My source? Me. I’ve been in both the traditional and specialist career models

Actually specialist model requires not only internal work but externally-facing eminence, especially at the Specialist Master and Specialist Leader levels (equivalent of Manager and Senior Manager, respectively)
