Need some advice. I’m in a long term, committed monogamous relationship, but I’ve been concerned about my own fidelity. I’ve never cheated, but I enjoy going on the various apps (Grindr etc) and talking to guys. It never leads anywhere and I don’t intend for it to, and it’s normally my replacement for other forms of internet entertainment. But I’m concerned it’s cheating. Is it? Where’s the line?

I’m a Sr Manager and I was arrested for the first time in my life, and it was for DWI. I haven’t been convicted as it’s a long drawn out process, but curious how big of a deal this is when looking for consulting/IT/Program Management type jobs. Anyone with experience or stories getting hired with a DWI? I’m freaking out that I’m not going to be able to switch and find good 200/250k+ paying jobs now

New idea: investing platform that lets you make a note when you buy stocks/ index funds. And then tracks the growth of those stocks separately. (I.e. I have like 200 shares of something. But I bought 10 of those shares when I switched firms. And 10 of those shares with my 2022 bonus. I want to be able to note the occasion that I bought shares and then easily track the growth of those individual shares. As a scrapbook of my experiences. Rather than buying jewelry for sentimentality.

Not sure this is the right bowl but will ask it anyway. Is it worth taking out unsubsidized loan for the freshman year of college vs using money saved in the 529 plan. The reason being that 529 balance is down this year and hope that it will go up as market recovers. Trying to see what will be the best strategy in this case.

Can someone explain how mega backdoor Roth works?

Here’s my understanding based on Google:

- I can invest 20500 to traditional 401k
- Company match & additional $ goes to Roth 401k (40500)
- At year end I roll this over to Roth IRA with a form my brokerage gives me. Does this sound correct?
- What happens if the value of assets goes up/down at year end?
