I spitballed an idea in a meeting, ECD loved it and took it straight to our client’s CMO and the concept became the backbone of a 3.2MM campaign. Now my creative team hates me and it’s awkward as fuck
Question on light planning / annual plan. If I am 50% on a client but doing delivery + BD equally, I will create two separate line items (1) 25% client delivery and (2) 25% client BD. Is this ok?
Logo exploratory for a client—they chose one! Then come back asking to use one they didn’t select for a different organization which they sponsor. Separate fee? Or do they own the entire exploratory?
Has Badger & Winters gotten any better? I see they have some openings and debating reaching out from all their past bad reviews...they have a decent client roster.
Such a bad rep around Madonnas attitude and unrealistic expectations of people it seems.
Can anyone refer me for Business Analyst/Consultant role. Supply Chain, Procurement, Project management Tata Consultancy Accenture Infosys Wipro EY Deloitte PwC Zscaler ZS Associates For Pune location
Adhd + crippling RSD + low self esteem + BPD here, struggling to deal with nitpicking, negative annual review that was based on one project after a previous ptsd-inducing project that erased my confidence.
I worked hard on the assessed project, tried my best to improve on feedback, delivered good output, resulted in breakdowns, attempted suicides and burnouts.
The only thing I was recognised for was “the spirit. Wondering how to cope with this situation and not feeling like walking on eggshells
Which WD Implementation Partners would you suggest considering for a small, but rapidly growing late-stage startup with a few hundred mostly salaried employees? I realize to some extent this depends on the modules under consideration, but any generic recommendations based on experience on either the client or consultant side are appreciated.
Do any agencies hire people to do the work of a PMM for client projects? I’m trying to transition to a PMM role from PR — but wondering if it’s easier to get on the job experience in an agency (if the role even exists) instead of trying to land a job directly as an in-house PMM without the background experience…altho there’s definitely some overlap from my PR background. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!
I just received an offer for a Senior Project Manager position at a large advertising agency. Base salary is $90k, no bonus option, no sign-on bonus, etc. I'm most interested in getting some form of tuition reimbursement, which isn't part of the benefits package. Any advice on negotiating for an education stipend or sign on bonus to pursue professional development?
Every day I stare at my laptop wishing I was on the range in Florida somewhere. I played in college, could go out and shoot 75 on an average day, in the sun 12 hours a day, life was good.
Now instead of playing on the PGA Tour, I am trying to make them a client of mine. Life is no longer good.
I need to get back out there.

I have a question about replicating an Alteryx model in python. Basically the Alteryx model used to clean, combine, prep, run some business rules and spit out a formatted file ready for running further analysis/viz. Can this same process be automated using a python script? I’m new to python and would like to know what packages to learn to do this.

Navigating through Alight website for 401k etc. Am I reading correctly that there is only around 10 to 12 funds to invest (i.e. some for targeted retirement 55, 60, 65 etc and 1 for US stock, 1 non US, same for bonds)? I was at least looking to invest in an pure SP 500 ETF or Nasqad ETF. Couldn’t find any particular ETFs or mutual funds. Maybe it is me or maybe it is just a extremely limited selection

I just received a two hour assignment while out (on day 3 of a 9 day vacation - first one in two years). I am a junior associate, so I’m far from irreplaceable, though we are understaffed. I do not have internet where I’m traveling so to do this assignment id have to drive to the nearest cafe to do the assignment while on vacation. Id probably lose half a day of a pretty expensive vacation. Is the expectation that I do this as a junior associate?
S.J.D. degree - yay or nah? Put another way, what’s the value of an SJD degree (beyond a JD) outside academia? Is it worth pursuing?
Hi all! I am a 3rd year corporate associate in a large firm. I just had my review and was surprised how good it was. Phrases used were “one of our strongest associates at your level”. Frankly I thought my performance this year was fine but not standout. I’ve heard that firms skew the reviews higher for 3rd to 5th years to retain them because they’re at peak profitability. Can anyone weigh in on this?

Working on an e-commerce partnership agreement, company refusing to mutually indemnify. They’re arguing the sentence stating parties are liable for statutory violations is enough; however, they include a longer indemnification for themselves but nothing for us.
What is a good workaround here to get us fully indemnified?

Anyone else at 2400+ and just dieing? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills over here reading these posts about being slow. West coast, egvc m&a and cap markets, top five by revenue globally. Is it really just our firm/office on an island?

Does anyone know if the hours are better at startup/VC/tech law firms, such as Fenwick, Cooley, Wilson Sonsini, Gunderson (please mention any similar firms as well) in their New York offices compared to doing M&A at a v10 New York big law firm? If so, could you please let me know what kind of hours you heard lawyers at any of these firms would work? Feeling kind of tired and burned out and need a bit more of a life. I find that work interesting as well.

What’s the best contract drafting software out there? What do GCs use? In particular, is there a software program that contains a treasure trove of contract samples and clauses to browse and a choose from? Something that would work for a client with a global presence, needing contracts up and down the supply chain. Would love to hear about what you all are using and what you love (or hate) about it.
Need some advice, I’m a third year healthcare/corp/M&A associate in Texas from a small firm. Was let go today because of recent hires and not enough billable work. Feel like I should try everything possible to secure another job and still a bit shocked. So if anyone in this bowl has any leads, please let me k ow! TIA!
I work for a Fortune 100 company and I recently received promotion that left me with negative feelings. I was talked out of another position at $200k+ in another business unit in my company because the role I’m being offered now is comparable and per management - “that’s where we hire people in to learn about the business… you’d be bored in a year”. I’m being told over and over that I’m indispensable. They offered me $115k per year. I have no idea how to approach this conversation. Wisdom?
Best resources for a very green corporate transactions junior associate to get up to speed?
I just made a switch from a boutique litigation firm to a mid-sized corporate transactions practice. It’s been about 3 months, and I’m simply not meeting the partner’s (understandably high) standards. I love the work, and want to keep doing this, but need to start delivering better work product faster, I just don’t know what I don’t know.
Hi, is anyone interested in doing some contract transactional work on an as needed basis? Some business formations and corporate work, contract drafting/reviewing and maybe some IP (TM filing)?
Second year corporate associate — I have an extremely difficult time managing my workload. I feel that I’m otherwise a solid associate, but my main criticisms in reviews have been around communication of my workload and taking on conflicting deals. I just moved from biglaw to a large boutique, and this is something I’ve struggled with in both firms. Does anyone have advice on improving this skill and learning to better anticipate the needs of particular deal and client times?
