What does it mean when a recruiter tells you a “job is no longer available” but the job posting is still on the company’s website?

Note: the job posting has been on the company’s website since March 2022

Hi, i got interviewed and received a email on 25 last month for documents submission after which i was supposed to have an hr round like in a day or 2 as told by them in Deloitte. I am still waiting for this round. Everytime i try to connect with them they say its in process and will call soon. Should I continue to wait or should i move on..

I’ve gotten asked how I deal with feedback in two different interviews recently. Anyone have an idea of what a good answer would be? I panicked and said something about paying close attention to redlines and proactively attempting to improve my legal writing but I’m not sure that’s what they’re looking for.

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?

I had an interview at a law firm and their recruiter wants to talk on a Sunday afternoon. Is this a red flag about company culture and not respecting weekend time? Or are they just in a big hurry and want to get my offer done quickly so they snag me before someone else?

After one interview, I tried to withdraw my candidacy due to the salary being lower than expected. Shortly after the hiring manager contacted me to inform me that they accidentally gave me the wrong salary range and invited me to come back for a second interview. I delightedly agreed and the second interview went very well, BUT I haven’t heard anything back yet. Did I accidentally kill my chances by withdrawing too soon then deciding to come back?

Does anyone have tips for the structured interview process at a federal agency? I’m trying to transition from impact litigation at a non-profit to an agency focused on trade and consumer protection. I’ve received private sector offers but can’t seem to make it past the first round for federal government. I must have the appropriate credentials to receive an invitation at all and have researched behavioral interview prep—what am I missing?

I have an interview for a position that is being backfilled. While researching the company, I happen to identify the individual who had the position previously. I found them on LinkedIn and am considering reaching out and asking for feedback on the position, company, culture, leadership etc. and see why they left.
