What I'm struggling with is validating him. He wants to know how much he should be earning but anytime I say well it would help if you paid this bill or this bill he basically doesn't have the money to do it and then gets down on himself. i have an offer of X amount from jp morgan and x+ 3.5L from Mphasis, my joining is within a week, I asked counter offer from HR, she said we will look if there is any backup candidate to fill that position then we will not do counter and it will impact my DOJ also since offer approval process takes around 2 weeks. should i wait or should i join on my current doj. and also if i will wait will they give me another doj on my current compenstion or they will revoke the offer past doj?

TCS, Today I completely lost interest and trust. Post document verification and taking all employee details. HR initally offers salary with 95% hike.
As I was already holding backup offer135% and asked if they could match up the offer? HR dept wasted 2weeks(until my LWD) in getting approvals and despite many follow ups today I received mail,we couldn't proceed further as cannot meet expected salary. In call,HR proposes 30%hike as company policy. Why not tell it earlier? Is this fair? Why double standards?
