There’s women’s support group on Slack,
women’s events to highlight women doing good work, speaking opportunities, a breast pumping room. Decent maternity leave but not competitive. Does it help? Hard to say. There are women are in leadership, but there is no diversity amongst those women.
We have a fairly generous maternity leave compared to others in ad but not as good as tech companies. And they supported and funded the Fellow app (which everyone should download). There’s also a moms group for the new moms/moms with young kids and also a women’s group where they try to do quarterly (although they always say it’s going to be monthly) meetings/book clubs. I’ve heard the moms group is an amazing support group and seems to be the thing that’s going well there. The Fellow app is cool too, but haven’t gotten much from the women’s group meetings yet (although we had an amazing conversation at book club for the Michelle Obama book)
Tampons in the bathrooms and wellness rooms for nursing mothers. Pretty good maternity & paternity leave.
They don’t do anything. They just treat everyone the same. It’s the best thing they can do.
This is written in the font ‘sarcasm’ right?
When y’all say generous parental leave, what’s that mean exactly? I’m convinced most are being sold on “this is a really good policy” until you actually have the leave and realize I have to serve X years before it fully vests or it’s really not that great compared to tech/media and international policies.
Date of employment!
Anomaly has the business spinoff Unreasonable Equals which is going out and doing special projects to tackle sexism within external organisations. It’s nothing to do with existing staff though. The NY and Toronto office have special subgroups and you can ask for $ for events. The London office put tampons in the bathroom and promoted some sexist guys. There is shared parental leave.
Part time is offered to all moms (and dads) coming back from parental leave. Where I live parental leave is ruled by law and it can last up to 3 years and you cannot be fired. The part time options are super flexible. The agency has a “mothers’ day” once a year where we all go out and party eat and drink until we drop. There are only 4 female CDs (140 employees) and NO female at the top levels 🤨
