Former procrastinators—how did you stop putting off work? Currently a first year doing M&A at a V10 shop. Coasted through undergraduate and law school with minimal effort but it looks like things have finally caught up with me and I’m struggling to tread water. Weirdly enough, I’m much better off when things are on fire (one of the reasons I picked M&A) but I can’t get myself to work unless I have a deadline looming over my head (or have blown past one). To experienced attorneys at large employers, has anyone tried starting a small side practice in a different area of law (wills & trusts, for example) and succeeded in building it out over time? Notwithstanding my present employer being happy/okay with this, curious as to the feasibility when I have no real experience in the practice area.

What is better hertz or Avis loyalty program? I have been on hertz (president circle status due to united status) and collected points a few free rental days now. But hertz always seems so much more expensive to me for personal trips and I end up buying Avis. Should I just shift to Avis? United has also ended its partnership with Hertz now, hence wondering.

I’m in charge of our school incentive program for this upcoming year to keep the kids into virtual learning. We are distance learning until at least October. I can not think of incentives for distance learning! Also, does anyone have a good platform for monitoring PBIS type behaviors? I know about Class Dojo, but know there are others....
