Not enough privacy work? I thought the field was booming???

like

I have non-stop work, billing 200+ hours a month is a breeze.

Can’t even imagine - feel like there’s still such an associate shortage everywhere in this space. Maybe they hired too many too quickly in response to initial rise in client demand.. But business is booming.

like

It may also depend on the breadth and depth of practice. If a firm was only/mostly doing incident response, that type of work has become a commodity in a lot of ways thanks to the cyber insurance industry. But in terms of proactive advisory cyber security and privacy compliance work, there’s just no shortage of it.

like

Yeah that got me worried too. Wonder if the firm is downsizing its group or something

Same. I wonder if it’s only one firm?

While negotiating the offer the recruiter came back to me and said "We’re working through headcount planning right now. The position you applied to is closed". Looks like a hiring freeze. Does this mean layoffs are coming up? What about the candidates (like myself) who cleared HC and was in negotiating process?

Hi, I currently work for an MNC and have received an offer from Hexaware in sep with joining date in dec last. What is the situation in SFDC domain in Hexaware currently with respect to projects and layoffs. My current company is best in terms of job security but due to the pay hike I have planned to shift as the current payscale is on the lowest in industry. Please provide your inputs on job security and work life balance in Hexaware

Anyone know if all the layoffs have been completed/announced yet? Honestly, I love my job and there's nowhere else I'd rather work. Want to know if I can exhale yet.

Is it a red flag as a candidate to ask if a company offers maternity leave? I was recently laid off, so I wasn't expecting to lose my job. We're planning on trying for a baby in the next year or so, so it's really important to me that my next job offers paid maternity leave.

The issue is that it's so rarely advertised on company web sites, but ultimately better maternity leave would sway my decision for a job. Is there a way to ask this tactfully? Or without raising red flags?

I was fired last month after a short time at the company. I knew things weren't going well- it was a terrible culture fit & I was also planning my exit strategy. They wouldn't give me specific reasons other than to vaguely say it was performance related. I agree I made a few dumb mistakes (none of any dire consequence) but what kills me is that I tried really hard. I don't want to change careers but I have a deep seeded fear that no matter how hard I try, I will never be a "good attorney".
