I would give our state as a whole an F

F— absolutely!!!!! When COVID cases were tripled what they were when we closed in March— school districts were not prepared to open for a new year! Thankfully, my district really had it together and continue to update policies as things happen. Personally, I’m looking for a shutdown about a month from now, after Labor Day, as the number of cases WILL rise, and we’ll start mixing it with the flu. With that said, our governor chose to overlook the well-being of the older staff working in these schools, or consider other health problems of anyone working! His political agenda for votes will NOT carry over from teachers here. I also see our mayors just as guilty for the reopening of these schools! Being involved in special ed, so many of this population have health issues that comprise their lives! I cannot believe our “officials/Authorities put themselves over such a fragile group!!!

F. I think they didn't really plan anything. They did what the parents wanted.

B-I agree with 100% virtual due to the infection rate in our region. However the demands of teachers on the virtual scale is too much. We should have a little less micromanaging in a time that is already extremely uncomfortable.

C-

Or in Georgia, a 71.

I’m in assistant manager at a company that sells dog and cat products. Our facility is overrun by mice and everywhere you look despite us cleaning between 4 to 6 hours a day (which takes away from what we could be doing normally)there is mouse fecal matter and pee everywhere. I have approached the company numerous times to bring in a cleaning crew and they expect us to do it. Despite the health concerns, they have ignored of my messages. Does anybody have any advice on how to move forward?

My anxiety has snowballed in the past month and I’m really struggling. If you think about that feeling of nervousness you feel when you’re about to walk into a job interview.. that’s how I feel all day every day. I’m suddenly nervous/anxious about EVERYTHING, even when I’m not thinking about anything. It’s to the point where last night I couldn’t fall asleep bc my heart wouldn’t stop racing in nervousness but there’s nothing I could/should have been nervous for. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi! Trying to sell a client on casting someone with a disability (that in no way affects or changes the story) in a film. Their concern is it will 'add an unnecessary layer'. Does anyone have links to a good presentation/data set to prove the benefit of normalising the inclusion of disability? Want to convince them with data. TIA!!!

What's the biggest health myth you've heard that you'd like to bust? Mine is that supplements are always a healthier option than prescription or OTC meds. A lot of the supplements on the shelf contain all types of unnatural ingredients and can still be harmful depending on the dosage.

Anyone else kinda enjoying the wfh/lack of pressure to go out? I got a pay cut, I’m working harder than ever and things are uncertain but I can’t help but feel relieved to not be so emotionally drained. Maybe it’s because I’ve been doing a lot of emotional labor for others? 😬
