Is $5k normal for a 2 bedroom apt in ward 1? We have combined salaries of $350k. School tuition 3k/month. What is reasonable for this salary? Any recommendations for family friendly apt? Or where do people with family commute from? We would really like to be close but don’t want to live paycheck to paycheck.

$120K in retirement accounts, $70K in cash, $50K in home equity, and $6K in HSA

Beyond mortgage, only debt is a $25K private loan that we can pay back any time in next 5 yrs. and isn’t accruing interest.
