CEO is still brand new (less than two years at the post). Very numbers and efficiency driven, maximizing the most without spending a lot. He does not understand the upfront process or full scope of media buying in general. There has also been a lot of turnover in the marketing department. They tend to hire new grads out of college or internal people with zero marketing background and are brought on to keep the spreadsheets looking good. When Ted Ward ‘retired’ so did a lot of the out of the box creativity. The people that make the decisions internally are good but have zero creative sense.

Yiiikes that sucks. Good luck with it! Hope the work doesn’t start to get boring.

Are you asking about the quality of the work not being as good anymore? Or did they leave TMA?

Heard the head clients changed so the internal Geico culture isn’t the same. Not as trusting. Still a great client. Just not as willing to go out there as before.

Senior leadership changed at the agency (for legitimate reasons). Maybe the new team hasn’t quite found their voice. Or the relationship with the client is different.

Depends who you ask. The CCO was let go around some inappropriate behavior (to be fair, he protested it quite strenuously and I’m not close enough to the situation or even at Martin- to say whether it was justified or not. But rumors had been percolating for a while). Joe Alexander is his name. I don’t know if the clients also changed or what other factors may be contributing to it. I heard one of the ECDs left too. Regardless, that can change the working dynamic and how willing clients are to trust and go along with the agency. So maybe it’s due to the different creatives. Or maybe it’s just change comes to everything eventually.

Debating between 2 starting job offers. Both are great companies and roles I’m interested growing in. But I’m confused financially which is better. Option 1: $62K salary, 15 days off, summer Fridays Option 2: $31.25 hourly, 18 days off, longer hours with time in a half OT, bonus at end of year I’ve never worked a corporate hourly job so I have no idea what to choose.

Curious do you guys celebrate Christmas, other holidays? And not looking for religious bashing. Just curious for eg. I am big on Christmas/ holiday spirit. I get a tree, lighting, gifts, sweaters. But similarly I have family who get very mad at wishing Merry Christmas. I am curious where you guy’s heads are at. Any cultural differences between eg black vs Arab vs south Asian Muslims etc.

I’m a mid-level working in a niche area in NYC. I like the work I do, put in long hours, high quality work, take time to mentor juniors, etc. I see myself at a law firm long term but now wondering if this is the right firm to make partner. Among others, one big concern I have is the non-existent emphasis on diversity and inclusion initiatives (they aren’t even pretending to care...), no committees, no statements in support of POC, etc. How do I find firms really committed to these issues?

How big is the jump from xDR to AE? Currently crushing quota finishing my 1st year as BDR in enterprise software (12mo+ cycles with avg deal $500k) Want to make the business case for promotion before end of 2nd year. I was a management consultant before and feel confident interacting with senior level DM’s but would be fresh to outside sales, negotiation, closing prospects, etc. How can I prepare for the jump and set myself up for success as an AE?

Hello everyone, I have been frustrated by working in a 24/7 BI support project along with the weekends. I tried all my best to apply different companies and they have been rejecting my profile by giving reasons like NP, Support background, less experience. My skills are: Tableau, Power BI and SQL My work experience is in Tableau Server& Tableau Desktop. I have been doing different certifications and courses. Should I start serving my notice period already before having any offer?
