Imagine if one KKK member had gotten just riled up enough from a Donald Trump (endorsed) speech tonight. Imagine that bigot took a life out of hate. It's not a stretch. Every protester in Chicago tonight felt they had to be there to protect the America they and their loved ones have struggled to become a part of. It wasn't pretty but it could have saved a life.
NPR this morning: And continuing his round of interviews on CNN, Trump was asked whether his tone has contributed to these scenes at his rallies. In the past, Trump has said at his rallies that he would like to punch protesters in the face and "knock the crap out of" them.
"I don't take responsibility. No one has been hurt," Trump argued, later adding that, "I certainly don't incite violence or condone violence."
Says the guy who supports trump. What a joke
I'm proud to live in Chicago tonight. We are a city that won't stand for his disgusting, hateful rhetoric being spewed in our city. He gives voice and validation to the ugliest part of America.
Protestors were definitely playing agent provocateurs if you were paying attention to the police scanners. Its hilarious how the Media is blaming Trump when its the protestors that are cracking skulls on cops and breaking windows in the chicago.
Regardless of how pissed a protester may get, there is never an excuse for violence and threatening one's freedom of speech.
what happened tonight in Chicago was certainly not a peaceful assemble
No kidding. As if it were the protestors' faults for getting pissed about a fan base that assaults minorities and openly celebrates racism.
Because many of them were disturbing the peace and encouraging violence
@OP the Donald HIMSELF, in rejecting blame for the event, claimed that nobody got hurt. So which is it? Was it a violent, unruly mob? Or were they just loud and nobody got hurt? Neither you nor Drumpf can have it both ways. #tellitlikeitis #inconvenienttruths
Consultants for Trump!
Then why kick out all of the protesters who came to precious Trump rallies?
@OP people who have gotten ejected from previous Drumpf events were NOT inciting violence #tellingitlikeitis #informyourself
LOL huffington post
This is why the media are blaming Drumpf: "America is better than this. We don't have to tear each other apart," Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said. "When you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discourse." When you preach hate, you get hate. He's been inciting violence since the birther movement and now he's rejecting blame for the violence. But, ya know, it's ok because, like, he tells it like it is, and stuff and things, and he'll make us winners, and all these guys are losers, etc., etc., continue ad nauseum.
@OP so you're saying that the protests were violent. Might want to communicate that revelation to your supreme leader who disagreed on CNN.
@D4 the people that were out there had a choice to either have a peaceful protest or a violent protest. They chose to have a violent one, and are responsible for their own actions. And it's clearly evident that many of the protesters last night were looking for a fight
Funny thing about this incident is that it galvanized a divided republican voter base to unite under Trump. Look at the top post from Cruz, Rubio, and Kaisch on fb and see the top comments
There were over 35 arrests, that can't be peaceful protesting
And here's the abc article citing 5 arrests: abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-rally-postponed-chicago-large-crowds-protesters-gather/story?id=37589985 (citing sources, something Trump sucks at)
