Assuming you’re menstruating, look up syncing your workouts with your cycle. It’ll help you decide when to push hard and when to ease up and it’s a total game changer!

like

Take a break, you’ll not lose a lot, and the strength comes back quicker the second time. Listen to your body and don’t push it till it breaks.

like

As long as you are eating clean, and not drinking you will be fine.

I’m going to disagree - I would switch to 1 day a week and focus on squats and bench on that one day. Have your next day either be a recovery run or a rest day. One day a week of strength will help you maintain all 3 [squats will transfer to deads] maintaining the strength will make you a better, more well rounded [and healthier runner]

like

I agree with this. Studies do show that 1 session per week of weightlifting is sufficient to maintain muscle mass and strength for a few months

like

Would it be useful to weightlift 1x per week or should I take a full break?

like

You should be fine. I took about 1.5 months off (from exercising in general- depression hit pretty bad so I also ate crappy) and the only exercise I noticed I lost some progress in was squatting, but not much. Gained a few lbs from the crappy food but came back stronger with my deadlifts and bench (if it helps, I’m 5’8 185 lb female). Muscle memory is definitely a thing.

Need advice for resigning while on bench. I already have a start date with the new employer. Should I do a traditional two week notice or give <=1 week notice instead? My goal is to not burn bridges, but I also don’t want to get let go on the spot since I have nothing to “wrap up” besides HR tasks. I’ve read on here that sometimes they will let you go day of and pay you out for two weeks but I don’t see why any firm would do that for somebody not currently performing billable work...
