What happens when you disclose to your firm that you've recently been diagnosed with depression and anxiety? I know I suffer from those things, I've just never had to disclose a disability to my job before and I'm kind of nervous about it.

When does the imposter syndrome go away? Or at least fade away enough so I’m not anxious 24/7.

Does ADHD have a big impact on your memory? It feels like if I don't have constant reminders set or leave notes for myself I can forget ANYTHING even if it's really important to me. I think it's making my partner feel like I don't remember the things they say or don't care to listen. What can I do?? Not on medication but if it helps with this I'd take it.

Hi! I need some help negotiating a raise. I have been working for this company for exactly 3 months now, but I was hired as an AGM. I'm not specific on what my responsibilities are as AGM.
However the GM at the time, quit 1 and a half months in. I was thrown into the role and have been handling it since.
My regional calls himself our GM but is never on site.
Was reluctant to cover my shifts when I became sick and requested time off for a few days. (4 days)

For some people looking to get into ketosis for performance, but struggle with staying in it:
i recently worked with a research team investigating the effects of ketone esters (a drink). They are better than their alternative form (ketone salts usually cheaper and has contaminants). You take it about an hour before you workout or do your activity. Its good for endurance, cognitive function, and there is hints that it helps muscular endurance activity. (**I dont work for a supplement company).

Senior 1 here- I have recently been getting severe episodes of panic attacks every morning before sitting down to work. Unusually anxious this busy season (probably due to be assigned on a huge re estate fund client which i am definitely incapable of managing in addition to smaller clients)? At this rate, i feel like ill end up finishing busy season with a medical condition such as stomach ulcer. Every day is a nightmare for me- at a loss as to how to deal with my emotions right now...

I'm an RN of 7 years, experience as a coordinator, on committees and do all the things. But now I just don't want to go to work anymore. I have anxiety every morning over nothing, just having to go perform my job. I could do my job in my sleep so I'm just lost and confused. My body is clearly sending me messages to leave. But where do I go? I think I need to step out of patient care.

The person I’m seeing has been responding to my texts days later (only a recent development) and it’s making me anxious. They have been busy the past two weeks with PhD exams and their last message was them planning when they could see me again (in a really flirty way too), so logically I know the delay is not a sign of disinterest. I’ve always avoided annuities but think this one from NY Life is interesting. It’s called a Variable Investment Fund and you can add an Investment Preservation Rider for a fee. The IPR guarantees your investment return will at least be the cash you put in.

So you are attenuating some upside and paying a pretty hefty fee, but you are insuring agains the downside.

For those of you who have been formally given the title of “senior paralegal” what are the qualifications for that title at your firm? Does your firm do promotions from paralegal to senior paralegal? At my firm we are all simply just “paralegal” (we all fully handle our own dockets, no assistants) and I would like to help develop a concrete career track for paralegal to senior paralegal.

I’ve been working as a paralegal for a month and I’m still trying to figure things out. Everything from learning protocols to understanding how each attorney works. I try not to be so hard on myself and take this time to learn what I can.

Has anyone ever gone on disability at a law firm where you’re the only paralegal to the partner of the firm? I’m worried I’ll be replaced while I’m out or that I’ll be letting him down.
