What happens when you try to get rebooked after a flight is cancelled due to weather? Do you have to pay a change fee and/or the difference in fare? (Assuming no insurance, no status, personal travel)

No fees at all. You can standby for any flight or they’ll confirm you for free on any flight with seats for sale in the same or a lower cabin. You can also get a full refund. Depending on a combination of how poor the options are on your original carrier, your status, and how pushy you are, you can also ask to be moved to another airline if you were originally flying on AA, United, Delta, or Alaska. Doesn’t hurt to ask if that’s a better option.

M1 and BCG1 are both right, and to add to it, if the weather is bad enough and the cancellations are stacking up, they may even upgrade you if it means they can get you out (especially true if you have status).

Sorry if this is a silly question. I don’t get out much!

Thanks guys!

Met this guy 4 weeks ago. He lives 4 hours away and has already been down to see me twice and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights each time. Pays for every date even though I offer to pay. He is awesome and I really like him! However, he was traveling for work last week so our communication went from checking in everyday to one 15 min call middle of the week. He joined this job during COVID so first time meeting his team.. he said they were out past 1am every night. Ummm? (Contd)

Help - how do I fight claims by scammer healthcare providers? I recently went to 2 different providers. Dentist, made appt via Zocdoc to see a dentist that was in network. Another dentist at the location saw me instead who was out of network. I have text evidence they said it would be covered before visit. Claim was denied - asking for ~500 dollars. Saw a specialist who’s office staff verified my insurance would fully cover the claim. Get the claim, says they are out of network. Owe 600.

For Progressive car insurance, they offered to give me a discount if I used their Snapshot driving monitoring device for the policy period (half year). What is the highest score I can get? Is it A or A+? I remember this used to be only a 30 day evaluation, now it has become 6 months, wtf? I’m in NY state if that matters. I hardly drive my vehicles now and the rates are still about the same as pre pandemic. These thieves.

As an Indian visa worker in US, I feel Indian managers in ZS are very rude to me , one makes me work longer hours than white team members , never lets me present in workshops , and always criticizes. Last week I made a mistake in a internal report and he said that if I did that again he will book my flight to India. I have never faced this challenge with white managers. Is this a ZS thing or across all firms, I wish to leave because this treatment makes me feel like a lesser person

I can honestly say that working from home these last few years has been the best thing that’s happened to my career as a producer. I never realized how distracting being in an office was. Now, I actually can focus on bidding, scheduling, reviewing contracts, and all of the stressful parts of production WITHOUT having to factor in code switching and a commute. I left my agency producer role for a fully remote producing role and I’m just….thrilled. Anyone else refuse to go back to office? 😩

Any advice for someone (a friend) looking to transition from film production to advertising? Having a ton of trouble getting even an interview for a junior role - even the most junior account roles are asking for 1-3 years of agency experience. TONS of transferable skills and super eager/great attitude, just hitting a wall. I suspect all it’ll take is a break by one of the many people he’s met for coffee, but any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated.
