Explosion
I left PwC a month ago and they let me keep it, didn't wipe it or anything. Just shut the cell service off after a week.
Who cares about wipe. Just back your ish up
Some of my contacts were gone after I moved it out of PwC business account. Maybe they were linked to the google accounts I had, not sure. I would recommend to backup your contacts.
jk you can keep your phone but transfer the number back under your name. Go to your network carrier and they know what to do. Worest case call pwc off boarding team
They wipe it when you leave*
Just left earlier this year... if you transfer the line to personal liability before you leave (instructions are on the hr checklist), all they wipe is the PwC management profile related apps and email accounts. Everything not managed by PwC isn't impacted.
It was a work phone only. I had a separate personal phone.
Schweet! Thanks 🙏🏻
My buddy who used to be at KPMG had his work stuff on personal phone. Apparently when you join and use personal phone you agree to the firm doing a remote wipe of everything. He was not pleased when that happened.
They wipe it?? I hope not! I have a combined work/personal phone and that would be so annoying. I can't imagine what would be a problem if you back it up from iCloud?
He's the only person I know from kpmg. Not sure if we have anyone who can validate his claim.
Was it work or personal phone with work stuff on it?
I have a personal cloud drive now that I keep stuff on. Apple ain't getting my money.
Correct on the KPMG wipe but the way to avoid the wipe is to remove the KPMG profile/account from the phone before exit. They'll have no access to the phone once that's removed....and there will be nothing KPMG related on the phone.
KPMG just removed the email and any work contacts that were through outlook but my whole phone didn't get wiped.
