1. There are a lot of people who don’t understand projections and exponential growth 2. There are some people who will never admit they could possibly be wrong 3. There are some people who don’t give a shit about others 4. But there are many more that are good

An open, transparent, and empathetic Managing Partner and partner group is amazing. Being partner owned makes every business decision personal. The innovation from the bottom when you have thousands of entrepreneurial smart inspired young people is amazing I love my firm.

Bonuses being honored next month and performance wage increases added this week. Lots of encouragement to work flexibly around family another commitments while working remotely and everyone helping out. Makes a nice change from companies who would have canceled increases at the sight of any headwind and cut back on overheads and expenses.

I've been pretty impressed with the way D has handled this thus far. Proactive, positive, but direct. Making a concerted effort to keep people informed with the realities of the situation.

That Captain Obvious should be the title of most consulting leaders ... “COVID19 will require businesses to re think how they work and allow staff to work from home. Businesses will suffer. “ Really? Where is the practical advice? What ACTUAL steps can they take today. What are some helpful tips that can actually help? Put that out there. Stop the bullshit messaging.

Unprofessional post- I’m seeing my new coworkers in person for the first time this weekend because I was a remote hire. But I have gained so much weight since covid that I feel like people are going to be disappointed when they see me in person. I’m realizing I have a lot of fear—mostly related to health stuff and death. Feel like people are getting sick left right and center (not talking about covid). I’ve never had anyone close to me become very sick or die—don’t know what I would do if this happened. I’m also overly concerned about my health and seem to be at the doctor every month to get something checked. Can anyone relate or provide suggestions on how to overcome something like this?

Did you keep your older child home from daycare when your second one was a newborn? I was thinking to at least keep my daughter home for the first two weeks so she can help bond with the baby , but my husband is worried that’s too much time away from daycare for her..that she’s already going to be confused and flooded with emotions that she should have her routine yet. I’m also a little worried about covid and any illness getting into our house with him being born in January.

I’m planning to visit my parents after 2 years. Last time I went home, it was with a fiancé - that fell apart during COVID. I feel like a failure going home and can’t believe this is causing me so much anxiety. I want to feel happy about meeting my parents and friends after so long but I’m so not in the zone to deal with comments and questions about him. Anyone dealt with this before? Any advice is appreciated!

My partner hasn’t been feeling well over the last couple days. Nothing severe, just slight malaise and fatigue. She told me she had contact with someone who was Covid positive but she’s in healthcare so that isn’t anything new. She was prepared. Today she was sent home from work and told to quarantine but has insisted on getting hugs and even coughed on me during one. We’ve been together for a LONG time. This is a pattern for when she gets sick but with possible Covid I expected more precaution

I didn’t get any stimulus checks, and I didn’t get any sort of raise for recent inflation. I am significantly more poor than I was before covid because of this nonsense. Thanks, government.
