A few days to a week is normal. But I suggest following up if you haven’t heard back in a week. IB/PE tends to shorten this cycle depending on the time of year.

It’s easy to overanalyze why you haven’t heard back. My advice would be to wait a week and follow up.

Sounds like it’s in the unfortunate purgatory of the company not committing to a new hire. This can be because of budget, market demand, or a change in strategy. Keep up with the other opps and maybe check in once every week or two. This happens a lot sadly.

So I recently started a position with Fox. When it was presented to me in interview, I was told I would be working aligned with Fox Sports & Entertainment, not so much News. Now that I’m here, I’m seeing everything I’ll be doing is with the News team & makes me uncomfortable. No diversity, outdated software & process.
Financially, it’s the best position I been in. But mentally in this environment, it’s depressing & slow. Nothing innovative or engaging. What would you do?

My 2.5 year old is putting us through it lately. Strong mom preference & mom separation anxiety, protesting naps, waking up early, on and off sniffles from daycare. Any tips or tricks to help curb the separation anxiety? During naps she will just call out for me non stop. Same at bedtime, but she will put herself to sleep. And then an hour before she’s supposed to be up, she’s yelling for me. I’m exhausted. Our caregivers are exhausted and I feel guilty she’s so sad and tired.
