What has been the turnaround time you experienced from submitting your job application to having an interview scheduled?

My L3 interview discussion is scheduled with Partner of KPMG FRM.
The role is for FRM division.

Any suggestions what kind of interview I can expect?
I had 2 interview rounds with Associate Director.

I’m frustrated. I’ve been in the job market for an ungodly amount of time, applying to various companies and have had zero luck.

I’ve received an offer to be an OM at a startup but will also have EA duties. Frankly, over the course of the interviews, the job description has changed several times. It appears I would be expected to help 3 C-suite, the VP Operations, and some of the BizDev team (assuming I accept of course).

I work in Risk Assurance, but I really don’t like the work itself or the amount of hours I’m working during busy season, so I’m hoping to leave public accounting within the next year or so. I feel I’m better suited for a more traditional accounting role in industry. Are there very good exit opportunities for this type of role with my Risk Assurance experience? Would staying until I’m a senior help with those opportunities at all?

I am in FAAS but honestly think tax prep/planning for small businesses might be more rewarding. What firms should I look into? Would I need to start at lower level (M1 right now)? Thoughts on pay? I was interviewing with a new position when the promo came.

Have one last interview but I'm likely to get the job.

New position is 10k more than old salary but 15k less than new one.

Gets me out of public accounting (better WLB) and into a space I'm interested in.

Also gets me out of tax (major goal) into a more general finance role.

I'm thinking try it for a year or two, see how it goes, and jump if needed.
