Wharton is a school of of ~900 people per class, so your mileage will always vary depending on who you are and what you want to get out of the experience.
Personally, I absolutely love it. Wharton is a very social MBA program and people tend towards being outgoing (again, there's a wide spread of personalities). Everybody finds their crew, but people are still excited to meet new people and build new relationships (case in point: "small group dinner" traditions with 4 - 6 strangers).
Academics are what you make of it. I decided to waive out of as much of the core as I could, which really worked well for me, so that I could take more of what I found interesting and have more control over my schedule. And Friday's off are great; gives me time to travel, catch up on schoolwork / outside work, decompress, etc.
That probably doesn't do your question justice; happy to answer any other questions or DM.
