What is everyone’s number? I did the math and at a 7% annual return on my 401k and investment account (accounts for max 401k each year and conservative brokerage allocations each year) I could be at around 8m by 50. Does that seem like a reasonable age & number?
I have a fiancé and wanted to see if I could add her to my medical benefits even if we’re not married yet but have a child together. Live in California
Has being in the healthcare profession increased your caffeine consumption like it has for me?
Do Income Partners get compensated the same as equity partners? Do they receive the pension and all of that as well?
After maxing out 401K, is it better to prioritize paying off student loans or investing in brokerage account (keeping in mind that student loan interest payments for federal loans are currently 0%)
COMPENSATION THREAD What is your compensation? How much of it is VC, how much fixed? What benefits do you have? Please share also year of experience, country of work and area of interest 😉
Would you accept a job offer for $12,000 more than you're currently making if the commute was a little over an hour and you had no possibility of ever working from home?
Let’s help everyone and do a roundup of healthcare consulting salaries. Comment your YOE and TC. I’ll go first. 3 YOE - 92k base + 13K bonus
Who hates the canadian medical system? Just to see an emergency doctor takes hours. I rather pay and get out than to fight my pain in the waiting room
How can I get a good paying job in healthcare administration?? I will soon have my masters in healthcare administration and I currently work for a hospital system as a patient service coordinator. I feel extremely undervalued on top of underpaid. I know that I am capable of more. Is there a space for young healthcare professionals to excel?
Web development geniuses - tell me what’s so hard about designing a secure online VOTING system to securely cast votes and implement it for US elections? How is it that banks and cryptocurrencies and healthcare data can be processed so securely but when it comes time to build a simple system to identify a person to fill in a voting form and send it securely to the election commission this is suddenly too vulnerable to attack? Sounds like a political move to ban high tech voting.
Hi, I am a clinical pharmacist looking at going into healthcare consulting, however I’m struggling on how to make the transfer. I know I have the transferable skills, however I’m struggling to sell my skills when I’m up against people who have had previous consulting experience. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Hey! I’m wondering how others made the transition from patient care to the business side of healthcare. These past two years have made it abundantly clear that I need a change.
How great would office emojis be in this app?

Ah now it did.
Ohare wouldn't have this long taxi que if Uber was there. Ugh i need to go home and sleep. Where are these taxis when people need them? Uber would pick us all up in an instant.
I had an eye opening experience the other night and was curious if others would be interested in helping do the same.
What’s your best nontraditional “Somebody I know made a fortune doing blank” story (I.e. reselling tickets, only fans, nail salons)
NYC's hottest club for consultants is DELIVERABLE. This place has everything: ripped up SOW confetti on the dance floor, crying first year analysts who just received a 3. And bathroom status upgrades
Anybody here in infrastructure consulting as an analyst or consultant? If so what rating did you get and what was your bonus %? I heard it went down this year as infra was moved into operations.
I don’t know if I’m from a different generation but I can’t believe I have to ‘set expectations’ w my analyst to at least check their email *once* on the weekend to see if anything’s blowing up
I have a coworker on a project who is not contributing their fair share... I'm afraid I'm already viewed as too aggressive in the group so I haven’t been vocal about it. I think I may stay silent.
Cheapest thing you've done after making more than $100K: (e.g. Taking toiletries from a hotel)
A lot of my close friends in Tech are SWEs and are making ~400-500k / year. I am in Consulting and make ~160k/yr. I know this is already a lot and I am super privileged, but I still struggle with comparison. I have no interest in being a SWE but I still struggle with the lesser money I make. How do I deal with this apart from aspiring for higher paid professions?
