Immaturity. Nobody should be “desperate” to get married. Marriage is a huge responsibility, and it goes way beyond us loving each other.

They often are not over a serious Ex who they were close to marrying. They are looking for a bandaid fix and emotionally not ready for it.

Makes sense!
They are quick to cut you off at the first problem and can’t work on things. They end up marrying an enabling woman or one who hides all her flaws till wedding day. Then the real cracks start to show in married life and they wonder why their wife doesn’t want to have sex with them or initiates divorce
They are either completely in love with you and want to marry you so no one else can have you, which might seem cute but is dangerous because this usually means they haven’t developed to be the best version of them self prior to the marriage and years down the line could lead to cheating, unhappiness, etc. or they are controlling and marriage is just another step to owning you. I would say usually people are just in love and not mature yet, and a lot of people play to the religious tune of not having children before marriage.
