What high school ELA curriculum program are you using? I know some teachers use whatever resources they want to teach the standards, but we are having to use “high quality instructional materials”, which are basically nationally published curriculum. (HMH, O’Dell, etc). What are you using in high school ELA and how do you feel about it?

Kind of curious, how many of you have any male secretaries in your schools?
I have taught in four different buildings in my career, some had multiple secretaries. Never had a male secretary.

I find myself needing to use the restroom way too frequently whenever I am teaching.

At my school there are buttons being passed out that say, “She/her, he/him they/them.” I have no problem with anyone wearing these buttons but I don’t like feeling pressure to wear one myself. No one is telling me to wear one but people talk about how inclusive it is to wear one and most staff do. I really don’t think I’m being transphobic by not wearing one but I just don’t want to wear one. What is your opinion on this?
