Experience showed that student accountability, parent accountability, 24/hr. day logging in, students clicking “done” and ghosting... just some issues that surfaced. It would be nice to have more time to iron out those issues.

Yes... I agree!

What us teachers implemented as soon as "shelter in place" occurred went "way above and beyond" what we had been trained by our district. Approximately 6 weeks later, we get criticized by people who are not in the trenches of teaching (is. New York Post written based on no stats, research,

For someone to do a job servicing others was given no to little very little training is commendable...without any compensation. Although "after the fact" we as teachers scrambled and were provided some training by the district (which I appreciate)... helped teachers.

However, my EdTech training has occurred for the last 15 years (mostly done by my personal expense), my colleagues struggled around how to teach online. Although I had offered my assistance (holding teacher certifications on Online/Blended Learning and teacher trainer on certain apps), my admin continued to down play my teacher training experience and not considered my input /recommendation on offering quality PD that would benefit the teachers at my site.

My point with Remote Pedagogy is districts need to provide constant "teacher learning opportunities, " based on appropriate physiological expectations of students that includes the CORE curriculum and 21st century best practices of quality based inquiry tools, in-depth of knowledge, and covering multi-sensory learning modalities.
In turn, teachers highly trained will provide engaging learning opportunities that services and addresses the individual child, her/his academic and social needs.

Not all students have internet or can afford internet at home. Many homes have multiple children so having live DL classes won’t work for my population. I also agree with the OP concerns of accountability. There was 0 in the spring. That NEEDS to be addressed should DL continue in the 2020-2021 school year.

Oh my! I can only imagine. Good luck!

What is the salary range for an audit senior in B4 Toronto?

I’ve been waking up between 2 and 4 am pretty much every night for the past 3 months. After that in the best case scenario I’d get some intermittent naps before I need to get up in the morning. This is despite following most of the rules for good sleep (ear plugs, room temperature, early dinner, no alcohol, no screens, daily exercising for 40-90 minutes, sunlight during the day). My oura deep sleep duration is extremely short. It coincided with my ACL surgery, but it’s been 4 months already!

Many teachers in my county are resigning or retiring. We are being forced to go sit in empty classrooms when we’ve been working from home this entire year. Some have health concerns, others have children they aren’t comfortable bringing up to the building. Some have children that are also in online school, so easier to be home with them while working. I know not everyone agrees with some of us choosing to leave, but our county is one of the worst for Covid. We also just had to cancel 10,000 vaccinations because the truck didn’t show up.
