They will do their best to accommodate you, assuming "working past a certain time” isn’t like 2pm. Of course this will greatly impact your performance though.
I’m LDS, have a young family at home and made it a point to say to my colleagues that Sunday’s are important to me and family time in the evenings too. It required me to put in more time in the mornings and regrettably on Saturdays occasionally, but overall my company understood I am a young guy with a young family at home, and it’s pretty well known LDS people don’t work (typically) on Sundays. They respect it for the most part, but I have to make concessions in order to live my chosen lifestyle and also be in the industry.
Your managers will say that is fine, because they cannot fire you because of that. But to be honest it is not fair towards people in your team who will need to make up for the times when you cannot work and it will probably be reflected in your comp.
How have you made it this far without it being an issue?
