Too many brown nosers to have a successful union. Also given that our profession attracts high achievers, most would not want a union which would limit upside potential. Even if we were able to establish hard hours caps, the partners would respond by hiring more people and reducing pay.
Or if we had to be paid overtime, then I’m sure WLB would improve real quick
We’d be pulling late nighters on plz fixes to communicate our demand; would be contradictory to the actual cause

Leadership would counter with outsourcing fast
I have seen the outsourcing talent we are not in danger
Am in for the overtime idea
There's one big problem with that premise behind unionizing a consulting firm to reduce hours. Consulting doesn't generate enough value per hour of work to get rid of those crazy schedules and still keep your salaries. If consultants work less, they earn less. A union might give you leverage to *slightly* redistribute a larger share of profits to lower employees, but not to reduce schedule stress without dramatic reductions in pay to offset lost earnings. However, There's already a way to get the employment bargain of lower hours and pay: it's called "going to industry."
Wlb starts with you and setting your own boundaries.
I mean, you all are the ones crying about wlb and needing a union to achieve.

Its not like there is a big workers v/s. management divide out here and the workers for the most part get the same benefits that the management does scaled for experience and operate in the same work conditions/ hours...
