What if you are tested positive for COVID-19 but mild symptom? Should I continue working remote as usual?

If you can afford to rest and get better, it’s probably better for society that you do - so you don’t get worse and potentially need ICU care.

I would think your firm has a response if you have tested positive. Check with HR and follow doctors orders (quarantine etc).

Don’t risk your life for PTOs or your job.
Please take a break and recover when you’re tested positive

If you feel good enough to work then, you’re probably not that sick or may be asymptomatic. If you’re feeling exhausted, then you should rest. Your health comes first.

like

Was it easy to get tested where you live? I’m in Chicago and we’ve been advised not to come into hospitals unless you’re struggling to breathe.

Many under 40 or 50 will have mild symptoms (but not all). If you are lucky to be mild, for sure work as you would during a cold if you like.

If you feel ill, take some PTO and recover (but watch your fever and call 911 if you start having difficulty breathing). Best wishes!

Oh and advise ASOC per instructions.

You should definitely inform HR. There should be a charge code developed for this. Depending on your severity and choice, I do not think you should be working even. You should be focusing on getting healthier , resting and hydrating

I will test today. Been having symptom for 3 weeks but it’s been mild for 3 weeks. So I’m curious to know the result myself soon

OP, What are the symptoms that you have?

Runny nose occurs in some cases, just rare.

Do not go to work, stay home. You’re creating additional carriers and infected even with mild symptoms.

They’re already working from home. This question is about continuing to work remotely vs taking sick days or something else

I'm in this boat. I've been working a few hours a day keeping my mgrs/team updated on my conditions. I usually feel ok enough to do a few hr of work after a lot of sleep. Then the fever and fatigue come on again and I go back to resting. May start to rest full time if things get worse.

I am approaching my 90 days, but the last two nights I have had dreams of using. Waking up anxious and having to reassure myself that it was just a dream. This weekend I was able to keep myself busy hanging out with my fiancé and friends, but I am concerned that the work week will be hard because I work from home by myself. I may ask my friend if I can work from his house, since he works from home too, and I can have someone to be around during the day. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.

For those of your who are currently pregnant and got the vaccine, how did you feel after? Did you have any side effects? Were you nervous or anxious to get it and if so, how did you conquer your fears? I am nervous to get the vaccine while pregnant due to no long term data but now with all the mask mandates lifting I’m even more nervous to not get it with the increased risk of getting covid. Any words of encouragement would be much appreciated! Currently 17 weeks along
