Anyone else feel like the experience they gain in consulting makes you know a little about everything but not competent enough at one thing to get a senior industry role? I don’t see why someone would choose me vs someone who’s done a highly relevant role in that field for the last 10 years.

The problem is that I have with the idea of leaving consulting is i think exiting consulting should feel like the end of The Pursuit of Happyness. In the industry if you get stuck on a team you're bored of you have to play office politics to transfer. In consulting, I can work on something new by getting a new project.
