I think many will share my idea, money. I am a systems engineer and more than money is the number of job offers with different benefits, they practically rain down on me, I have a lot to choose from.

My father was a petroleum engineer, my brother, too, and since I was not different, I have to say that I love what I do. It is like a family sharing every time we sit down to talk about different things.

My grandfather founded a factory of hydraulic pumps, we are Italian, and basically, we have the ability to create in our blood, but I wanted to go further and study mechanical engineering, now I am the president of the company, and in 5 years we have grown almost twice as much. that we had grown in 20 years.

I always loved programming, and when I discovered that there was the option of being a specialist in this area I decided to face the fight, I'm still studying to qualify as a programming engineer, but every day I learn more and love my career more.

In my family everyone is an electrician by trade, none of them have a degree, but my father always asked me to become an engineer, I will always thank him, I love what I do.

I wanted to be able to solve problems and create things that would make people's lives easier. Engineering is a field that allows you to do just that. You can solve problems, create things, and make a real impact on the world.

When I was younger, I always loved making things. I would take things apart to see how they worked and then try to put them back together. I think this is where my interest in engineering started.

It's in my blood

Is it a red flag as a candidate to ask if a company offers maternity leave? I was recently laid off, so I wasn't expecting to lose my job. We're planning on trying for a baby in the next year or so, so it's really important to me that my next job offers paid maternity leave.

The issue is that it's so rarely advertised on company web sites, but ultimately better maternity leave would sway my decision for a job. Is there a way to ask this tactfully? Or without raising red flags?

Hi, did anyone here experience interviewing with Revolut for technical product owner role?
I got on a Hr call with them and they said they really expect technical product owner to know the nitty gritty of backend like payload or system designs etc, and that I would need to brush up on backend knowledge if i want to pass their technical interview.
The HR said I can do some brush up and let her know once I’m ready for the interview and she will schedule it then, as if i go ahead and fail now, i wo

I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?

What would be in hand salary?

Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I work for a 350~ company who is growing rapidly through M&A. Passions/interests are compliance, strategic vision, M&A, branding and culture
