Has anyone left PA for a hybrid accounting/finance role? It definitely sounds interesting to me, but I want to avoid ending up in a role performing 2 roles for the salary of 1! Also, I’m trying to find a bit more of a work life balance, and some of these hybrid roles seem like they will be just as crazy.
Is the SM role like a junior partner at B4?
Best books about product management for a good exit to industry? I already have an MBA and PMP but looking for a refreshed perspective since it’s been years since my formal education. Question for you all: Left D to Company A for a 50% raise in TC and slated to start in <1 week. However, just got an offer at Company B for a 100% raise in TC compared to D, or 30% raise in TC compared to company A. Both firms do similar work but B provides a more solid comp package. Job duties would be relatively similar. Is the % jump worth burning the bridge? Would have chosen Company B if the offer came sooner but the % difference in A to B is at my [personal] 30% threshold. TIA!

I love when people quit for a better buyside role and you can see the jealousy in everyone's eyes - especially the older people who know they have to treat them as a client now.
My cousin got into UC Berkeley undergrad for comp sci and I am incredibly proud of him. I wanted to gift him a MacBook. I wanted to understand if MacBook Pro 13 is good enough for comp sci folks or should I be looking at MacBook Pro 16?

Does anyone sign their emails at the end with their initials of their first and last name? I'm not sure how I feel about that, I've noticed quite a lot of people in the firm and at the client who do.
I was rejected at Netflix right after passing the recruiter screening. The reason given is that they're looking for someone who has worked on longer-term projects. I worked on my last project for 2 years and have a 6 year project on my resume as well. I guess they don't like that I've been an independent consultant for the last four years and was on 4 projects during that time. Has anyone else encountered this kind of bias against independents working on shorter-term projects?
