Hey guys, so I was debating with my gf earlier and she claimed that folks in finance, consulting or IT should be able to afford a 700K condo in about 3 years after graduating from college (assuming absolutely no parental help and having to pay for everything). Is this true? 😂 Deloitte McKinsey & Company Bain & Company
Currently a C Sharp .net programmer. Is Admin cert > PD1 cert > PD2 cert good path to pursue to become a salesforce developer? Is there anything I should be aware of? Would there be loss of seniority level-wise/salary-wise if I switch to Salesforce development?
How much does COL adjustment from Chicago to New York look like in salary? For example, if I’m making 210K in Chicago, if I’m trying to get a fair COL, what should I be asking for in NYC?

What's the pay range (base + bonus) for a Customer Success Account Manager at Microsoft. Looking for Canadian salaries preferably but can also use USD as a reference. Thanks.
So I work in internal services as a manager making 195k and just realizing how stuck I am. Been interviewing for strategy jobs in industry and they all pay less in total comp… feeling stuck, suggestions?

I’m looking to buy a used Audi Q3 (in about a year when the used car market cools down.) for around $32K. I will be getting my banked bonus at the same time for let’s say $18K (after tax). Audi offers 1.99% APR for used cars. How much should I put down on the car from my banked bonus, considering the APR is so low? - (first time buying a car)
Who knew it would be so difficult to find a decent in-house job?! I’m a rising 7th year in big law and somehow I have become desperate to earn 40-50% less in salary. 🤷♀️ The search continues 😑
Currently in industry, on the product side with previous consulting background. I don’t like the grind of consulting, but Salesforce CSG (prof services) reached out with a BA role. I’m also in the process of interviewing at FICO as well. I like that the FICO is on the internal product side, but Salesforce has a great reputation. Feeling like I don’t know what I want. For reference, I’m leaving my current place because of terrible leadership & back to office 5x a week/no flexibility. Any advice?
An employee at my client has somehow put a 3-day user story in for himself on our project to do trailheads... can't decide if it's a stroke of brilliance or stupidity
Had to legitimately consider the speed of light as a bottleneck the other day. Hardware people, you do this kind of stuff all the time? Crazy.
Aunt lesson learned today: Apple juice is kept on the shelves, not in a refrigerated section, at the store. 🤷♀️
What do you folks do when new senior leaders want to bring in new HR (someone they have in their pocket) so they start de-positioning existing HR leadership?
Any EY folks know how PAS interviews (experienced staff role) are structured? Is it just standard behavioral and case interview?
I feel like anytime I hang out with friends now all they want to do is ask be about covid...
First year here as a general staff accountant. Midsize. Been asking scheduling for work but only managed to get 10 hours of billable work last week doing a couple 1040s... I also ask around yet everyone says they’re fine. It’s still considered busy season here since I’m at midsize and it feels wrong not hitting atleast 40 billable hours. It would suck if I got laid off cause of it. 🥴
Does Cooley offer mid levels equity in their client fund (or whatever investment vehicle the firm operates)? Why isn’t this discussed more often?

Best way to spend your 11+ hour work day after hour meal stipend (within firm policy) if you’ve already had lunch & dinner?
Tips on how to handle a client who complains to you about your associate? The issue is ultimately a personality clash, rather than a quality issue, but in this case, the associate has very specific expertise and the client complains if an associate without that expertise is involved in the deal. I am also not the type to throw associate under the bus and the preference is to handle it in a way that means the associate can continue to work on the matters rather than restaff it.
A manager fucked up the intern review process and now this high Performing intern is not going to get an offer. What should be the repercussion for this bumbling manager?
Any tips on how to get up to speed on a new project fast? I got assigned to a project that I know nothing about the field. Is there a strategy I should take to get up to speed fast?
HSA - I have an HSA from former employer, laid off last year. I habitually maxed out my HSA ($3,600 this year) in March and realized I am not eligible (new/current employer doesn't offer HDHP). What do I need to do?
What’s a kind way of asking a coworker to stop asking you to review/edit their work before submitting to manager? For context, we are on two different workstreams with different managers. He’s been with the firm for a year and on the project for three months.
I'm making an internal transfer to FAAS service line (out of audit) and only got a $2K raise. I was under the impression that FAAS gets paid a fair amount better than audit? Was I mistaken? For context: I'm leaving audit as a "top rated" S1. I'm already compensated at the top of the pay-band (as told to me by the recruiting team who are helping to transition me). I also applied for PWC CMAAS, but was offered the same exact compensation as EY and was told there was no room to negotiate.
