I’ve been in usdc for less than a year and I like the work for the most part but I’m really feeling not great about my salary. If I found a competing offer do you think usdc leadship would try to retain me given I’ve been here for such a short amount of time?
Geniuses can you please share some ideas/creative ways to track the following.. Case: have around 25 companies and associated info. Part of that info includes company contact point info (name, email) each company may have 1-8 contacts. Contacts change frequently. Ideally I’d like my columns to be |comp name | contact name| contact email |etc, but the issue is I need to track when people leave a company, can’t delete the data. Rn I have 1 sheet holding comp info, another, contact info.
Approaching final round interviews but have yet to talk comp with HR contact. Thoughts on how to bring it up before doing the half day interview process ?
Currently an A3 in audit. My team communicated to me that they’re pushing for me to get mid-year promo (Jan 2022) but I’m also interested in leaving to another Big 4 for AAS as an S1. Current salary is $73.6k and am unsure of how much I should be going for to make the jump worth it. I know EY FAAS offered a friend $85k in my market but assuming I get mid year promo I’m not so sure the salary bump would be significant enough. How much room for negotiation is there with Big 4 experienced hires?

Should I negotiate salary no matter what? Asked for low 70s and offered 77. Wondering if I should just take it and call it a day to avoid looking greedy. I’m fine with what they offered, but obviously the only time you can negotiate salary is the time you’re offered it right?

Just started as Senior 1 at Big 4…is it normal to not receive any actual training aside from HR-related? Only Senior on my team with a team who is all new to the client. Honestly feeling as though I’m being set up for failure and regretting my choice to switch firms. Any advice?

For this of you who recently transitioned from a firm to in-house, how/where did you find your in-house position? Recruiters? Clients? Indeed/LinkedIn? Word of mouth? I’m a mid-level employment associate and starting to explore going in-house, but not sure where or how to begin the search. Thanks in advance for any tips and advice!

As head of a division in industry, we work a lot with vendors. Increasingly I am noticing that men working at vendor firms have offer resistance when I ask for more details/invoice timings etc. I recently had a partner from a mid size firm telling me that he will be sending the invoice without phase completion. Ofcourse, I pushed back since the work is not done and it's not per contract, and he comes back asking me to be flexible. I am ex MBB, and am quite surprised at this attitude. Cont...
