I always wanted to work in consulting (for the varied and dynamic work) and did get a few offers many years ago from EY and PwC but didn't take them because the pay wasn't great. Now that I'm at a Director level in Compliance in the banking industry, I'm wondering if it's too late now to switch to consulting? I do want to give it a try. What do you all think? Do you know of people who've moved from banking into consulting at my career stage? I've 18 years work experience.

Here is the situation:

Review season is going on in my company and my manager is offering me salary of just below 20LPA.

Now the problem is that he is based out of US and he is dependent on data which Indian HR provides him regarding market salary info.

I had a discussion with him and convinced him to increase this if I provide the data and prove that I am being paid less.

Can someone suggest where I can find the actual data regarding avg salary info for a PM.
