Try Coursera. Some good introductory API courses on there

Thanks. Will look into it too

If you want to get some hands on experience with APIs download PostMan and set up a servicenow developer instance. You can learn the appropriate way to make rest api calls and set up authentication

I'd love to do that. At the moment I'm trying to gain a theoretical understanding of what a API is, what it's used for, different types and how they are developed/implemented

APIs in general? Or API management systems (MuleSoft, Apigee...)?

Thanks no worries. I did find a book on Google books but wanted to see if there are any recommendations

I have interviewed with Kainos, Alight Solutions and OneSource Virtual Inc for a payroll consultant position, currently have 1.5 YOE in Workday. If you had to pick, which one would be your top 2 choice? They’re all paying same amount and it’s a 41% increase. Also, I will be getting married and starting a family soon if that makes a difference. Thank you

I’ve noticed I have a harder time working on projects that aren’t that well defined and more vague. Mainly projects working with larger companies (think Nike, etc.) where say, you’re working on a site redesign, and focusing on certain features but a million people from the client side need to weigh in and chat through every little detail. I’m much better with straight forward work. Full site redesigns, branding, experiential executions. Anyone else feel this way? I just hate the vagueness.

Has anyone made a career shift from Software Development to UX Research and Design? I've always been more interested in psychology and graphic design, but choose to study programming in college because that's where the money is at. However, I don't know if my heart is in straight programming. What are your thoughts and experiences?

I transferred into advisory from another function at the firm. I had about a year of experience in the other group, some of which is transferable so I'm considered "experienced" hire. My salary was kept the same and I was just happy not to take a pay cut. Now I'm wondering what other associates in this group start at/make after a year for comparison. Any ideas? I'm based in NYC.
