Hi Fishies! (Is that what we are? I’m going with it)
I just came across a Google Research and Insights role that got me SUPER excited and I was about to apply when I had the idea of seeing if anyone would be willing to give me a referral. TPM might be a good stepping stone, engineers who grow into TPM or Product are as good as gold IMO
This is great advice.
Take some courses for sure. You'll learn the project management side of things, but people with engineering backgrounds make really desirable PMs as long as you get the know how on the product management level of it.
*project management level - the actual beginning to end and execution within the scope of the whole thing, making sure people are actually getting things done, tracking results etc. There are modalities that are important to learn.
TPM..sounds like a good option. Thanks for the advice.
