What is a new grad starting salary in OP ortho setting in NYC? Please don't give average but STARTING

I cleared my last round with Wipro and sent payslips and other details for salary discussion as requested by HR last Monday (28th Nov). When can i expect a call from them?

I have an opportunity working for my dream company but I was told my salary expectations were too high. I was using my last job as a reference since this is a lateral move (I was laid off a few weeks ago). Was I overpaid or is this company just cheap?

Former TC: ~140k (125k base + 30k sign-on paid over 2 years + 50k RSUs w/4 years to vest)

YOE: 5+ years total; 2 years as PM

I joined JPMC last year mid. I was not give any hike last year as I was told that it’s been just few months since joining. I was given a bonus though (1.5 l)

Would bringing in an offer before appraisal affect my hikes to get better?

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

How should a structural engineer with 2 and a half years of experience be earning?

I just learned that the supplemental long term disability policy offered by my firm does not cover any disability caused or significantly contributed to by pregnancy or childbirth. This feels really discriminatory and unfair to me that the firm would only offer this policy. Women are expected to bear the burden and risk of pregnancy (often more than once) and if there is a complication they don’t get benefits?! Does your firm have this policy exclusion?

Interviewed and was offered a job that has tons of growth potential and better area to live in. Offer is more money than what I make now but would require leaving everything I know behind and starting in a new state. Do employers typically negotiate within reason? I’m looking for 5% more than what was offered.

Yesterday was a good day. I was really impressed with myself. I woke up at 5, practiced dance lessons, did two water colors, made breakfast and tea, got to work by 10, put in 8-10 hours of solid work and then came home. It’s been ages since I painted or danced.
However today, I slept till 7:00, did not work out or have food. Still got to work by 10 and did 8 solid hours of work.
Some days are good and some are just okay. And that is okay. Trying to build on my good days and we all can. :)

Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. They gave large raises to 95% of our employees across all specialties (some called what they got "life changing") but our group was overlooked or disregarded with no explanation!
